Tip

Give your child a small amount of money at one time, because managing money is difficult for persons with an FASD.

About Us

FASD Center Partners and Collaborators

The FASD Center for Excellence works closely with several Federal agencies that are involved in addressing fetal alcohol spectrum disorders. The FASD Center Steering Committee includes members from:

The National Task Force on Fetal Alcohol Syndrome and Fetal Alcohol Effect (Task Force) and the Interagency Coordinating Committee on Fetal Alcohol Syndrome (ICCFAS) are also represented on the Steering Committee. The FASD Center for Excellence is working to implement the recommendations of the National Task Force and ICCFAS.

In addition, the FASD Center works with the Minnesota Organization on Fetal Alcohol Syndrome and the National Organization on Fetal Alcohol Syndrome (NOFAS) to develop curricula for juvenile justice systems and certified addictions counselors. In addition, NOFAS has organized three summits for women in recovery and the Washington, DC, town hall meeting, all sponsored by the FASD Center.
